Story Time to begin at library
HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Public Library will begin Story Time on Sept. 23. A session will be held on Tuesdays from 1-1:45 p.m. The session will run through Dec. 16.
The second set of sessions will start Jan. 6 and run through April 7.
The program is for children 4 to 5 years of age and not yet attending kindergarten.
To enroll, parents can come to the library or call 620-653-4128.
Each Story Time will include games, songs, and stories. Children will also learn about books and the library.

HHS to hold Homecoming events
HOISINGTON — Hoisington High School Homecoming will take place Sept. 19.
They have a full week of activities leading up to the event, planned by Cardinal Crew.
They are: MASH Monday, Twin’s Tuesday, Western Wednesday, Tough enough for pink Thursday, and Fan in the stand Friday.
Each class will make a shopping cart to be presented at the Pep Rally on Friday.
Crowning will take place at 6:30 p.m. before the football game against Pratt.

Roosevelt School to have annual trash bag fundraiser
HOISINGTON — Roosevelt Elementary School is having its annual Trash Bag fundraiser. Bags are $9.50 per roll. They come in three sizes.
They will be taking orders from Sept. 8-19. Pick up is Oct. 1 from 3:30-7 p.m.

St. John Lutheran Church to hold fish fry
ELLINWOOD — St. John Lutheran Church, 5th &  Wilhelm, will hold a fish fry from 5-7 p.m.  on Sept 21 for a free will offering. Fried catfish, hamburgers, cheese potatoes, relishes and watermelon will be served.
