Ellinwood Library’s upcoming hours announced
ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood School/Community Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 1 for the Labor Day.  They will begin opening Saturdays on Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament to be held

HOISINGTON —Anyone 21 and over is invited to play in a Texas Hold’Em Poker tournament to raise funds for area charities.  The tournament will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6  at the Hoisington Knights of Columbus Hall, 114 North Main.  

Beer identification challenge to be held

HOISINGTON — Anyone 21 years of age and older is invited to participate in a “Beer Identification Challenge” on Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 1 any time between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Hoisington Knights of Columbus Hall, 114 N. Main.  Cost is $5 to enter. Cash and prizes will be awarded if you can identify the popular brands of beer.  There is no advance registration,and you may participate as often as you like. All proceeds support area charities.
