HOISINGTON — The Hoisington City Council met for a short meeting on Monday. The adult swimming hour is still from Monday through Sunday from 5-6 p.m. despite rumors to the contrary, City Manager Jonathan Mitchell informed the council.
The council heard from Don Doerschlag, code enforcement officer, regarding several properties. The demolition is complete at 215 E. Broadway  and nearly complete at 114 N. Pine. Demolition has been started at 113 N. Elm, 368 W. Broadway, 513 E. 4th and 264 W. Railroad.
The council approved a computer contract with a company in Greeley, Colo. to provide computer support for $13,935. They also provide off-site computer backups.
Also, the council approved a change in the policy manual. The EMT full-time staff will be allowed to change the regular department hours as the police department already does to allow for efficient use of staff.
The first budget work session will be at 6 p.m. on July 2. There will also be an addition budget work session at 6 p.m. July 9.
