DHE to award Ellinwood for "going green"

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment officials will be at the Ellinwood city office on Sept. 29 at 1:30 p.m. to present an award to the community for its recycling efforts and the "going green" theme for the After Harvest Festival. Call the city offices with questions.

Auxiliary to hold picnic

The Ellinwood American Legion Auxiliary will hold a picnic for current and new auxiliary members at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. at the Legion. Group to sell prepackaged food

USD 431, Hoisington Middle School and Parent Representatives in Developing Education will sell "Gourmet to Go" prepackaged food for people on the go.

These foods consist of casseroles, desserts and dips. The will be sold Sept 29 to Oct.15.
