oisington school lunches to begin

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Summer Lunch Program will begin at 11:30-12:30 p.m. at Hoisington Middle School beginning June 3. Children ages 1-18 can eat free.
Adults meals are $3.50.

First Kansas Bank in Hoisington, Claflin and Great Bend will have donations jars in all locations for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help those affected by the recent tornado.

Labor Day Clown Committee to hold fundriaser

HOISINGTON — The Labor Day Clown Committee is presenting its Big Splash Fundraiser. The Bingo is planned fro 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 2,  at the Hoisington Knights of Columbus, 114 N. Main.
Children and adults are welcome. Suggested donation of $5 gets each participant up to 5 bingo cards to play during the two hours. Prizes include all sorts of water toys.
Funds raised benefit the Labor Day Clown Committee.

Work day at Community Garden

HOISINGTON —  A workday will be held at the Hoisington Community Garden at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Anyone is welcome to come.  They need to finish mulching, weed and the hoses need laid out. Broccoli, beets and lettuce are being picked.
