Nominations for 2014 Citizen of the Year sought

HOISINGTON — Nominations for the 2014 Citizen of the Year in Hoisington are being sought. This award is given for outstanding public service. Nominations may be mailed to or dropped off at the Dispatch office, 104 N. Main.
Past winners are not eligible. Nominations need to be made by 5 p.m. Dec. 31.
Last year’s winner was USD 431 Superintendent Bill Lowry.

Ellinwood Food Bank open two days per week

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood Food Bank is open from 2-5 p.m. on Mondays and from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday. It is at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 701 N. Fritz and is only open to Ellinwood residents.
Emergency assistance is available by contacting the minister of any Ellinwood church.
