Hoisington chamber accepting parade entries

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Chamber of Commerce is accepting entries for the 117th annual Labor Day Parade. The theme of the parade is “Celebrating Life In The Heartland.”

Hoisington student receives degree

The Newman University spring and summer 2013 commencement ceremony was held on May 11 at Central Community Church in Wichita.
The ceremony recognized graduates receiving degrees in the spring semester and candidates for degrees in the summer 2013 semester. Local student receiving a Master of Science in Education is Jared Grillot of Hoisington.

Ellinwood Food Bank open new hours

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood Food Bank will be open from 2-5 p.m. on Mondays and 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at the United Church of Christ. These are new hours.
