Hoisington ‘Citizen of the Year’ nominations needed
HOISINGTON — Nominations are need for the annual Hoisington “Citizen of the Year.”
Patricia Horton was honored in 2011.
Nominations can be dropped off at the Hoisington Dispatch and must include the name of the nomineee along with the reasons for nominating him or her.
They must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan 2.

Hoisington trolley to run weekdays

Winners of Christmas home decorating contest announced
HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Chamber of Commerce Promotional Committee is Steve Hinman, 768 W. Third. The second place winnner is Tood and Robin LInsner, 110 N. Main. Third place goes to Darren and Sherry Reinert, 451 W. 10th. Judging was based on carrying out a theme, originality and overall appeal.

Shop Chimney Hop winners announced
HOISINGTON — The winners of the Shop Chimney Hop winners were announced. First place was won by Jessica Baze of Hoisington; second place went to Lucy Clark of Hoisington; and third place went to Dawn Gabbard of Claflin.

Red Cross Blood Drive in Ellinwood

ELLINWOOD  There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive from 2 to 7 p.m.on Jan. 14 at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 110 W. Second St. Donors receive choice of gourmet soup and with an appointment, a cinnamon roll.
