CLAFLIN —In the last two months Claflin personnel were dispatched for: four patient assist calls, a traumatic fall injury, a possible stroke, a pedestrian versus vehicle accident, a multiple injury vehicle versus vehicle accident, a motorcycle accident, a syncope episode, a cardiac arrest, a dehydration call, four sick patients, a patient with other medical problems, eight out-of-town transfers, and one football standby. In the last two months Claflin Fire Crews responded to: assist EMS crews on two medical emergencies, the vehicle wreck, one motorcycle wreck, and the pedestrian versus vehicle accident. Four tree fires from lightning, hay bales fire from lightning, a stubble field fire, and two mutual aid calls with Ellinwood Fire – a grass fire and a hay shed fire.In other news, Claflin Fire and EMS personnel met twice in July and twice in August to clean, maintain, and train with equipment and vehicles.
