CLAFLIN — Claflin pre-school children are invited to attend Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a program that is designed to give free books to children under the age of five.

Book your child a ticket to the kick-off that will be held on Saturday, March 17, at the Independent Township Library. This program will be from 10 a.m. to noon.

Families living within the zip code of 67525 are eligible to enroll their pre-school children at the kick off and enjoy crafts, refreshments and prizes.

Every child enrolled in the program will receive a free hardback book every month until their fifth birthday. Each book is mailed, and addressed to the child. If there is more than one child in the family under the age of five then each child will receive a free book. There is no cost to parents. Parents must register their children through the Claflin Library. This program is being sponsored by the United Way of Central Kansas and other Claflin businesses.
