CPHS yearbook staff has success at competition

Central Plains High School yearbook staff attended the Kansas Scholastic Press Association competition. They were Trey Heitschmidt, Chris Woolf, Rachel Meyer, Nichole Smolik; and not pictured, Faith Orth.

CLAFLIN — The Central Plains High School Pipeline Yearbook staff had a successful state competition. All five members of the staff received recognition for their work at the Kansas Scholastic Press Association’s State Contest in Lawrence this past weekend.
Awards went to:
• 1st place - Faith Orth, Student Life Photography
• 2nd place - Nichole Smolik, Infographics
• Honorable Mention - Rachel Meyer, Infographics and Editorial Writing
• Honorable Mention - Trey Heitschmidt, Editing
• Honorable Mention - Chris Woolf, Editorial Cartoon
