Debate team
Pictured is the Hoisington High School Cardinal Debate Team for 2011-12, lead by senior advanced debater Montana Spires. Junior varsity (second year) debaters include Paxtin Carey, Shannon Manka and Erica Schwager. Novice (first year) debaters include Breanna Baker, Taylor Crawford, Deiah Curtis, Ashley Durr, Tyler Base and Jessica Starkey. Cardinal Debate is coached this year by Marion Oborny. Action for the team begins Sept. 17 at Great Bend. The Cardinals will host a novice debate tournament on Monday, Oct. 24.
