llinwood Food Bank in need of items
ELLINWOOD — The following food items are needed at the Ellinwood Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off at Ellinwood Family Foods.
They are pancake mix, sugar, flour, cake mix and frosting, instant mashed potatoes, facial tissue and crackers.

Night swim for teens
ELLINWOOD — There will be night swim for teens at the Ellinwood Swimming Pool on a trial basis. Cost is $1.25 or a season pass.
High school students can swim from 8:30-10 p.m. on Thursday and 6th-8th grade students can swim from 8:30-10 p.m. on Friday.
If the pool is closed for the day, then there will be no night swim.

Register for the 5K/10K run for AHF
ELLINWOOD — Register for the 5K/10K run for the After Harvest Festival.  Forms are available at the Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce.

ELLINWOOD — Educational Strategies, 108 N. Main, in Ellinwood will hold four continuing education workshops on July 26. The workshops are eligible for continuing education units as well as being open to the public.
The workshops are Dementia, 8-10 a.m.; Alzheimers 10 a.m.-noon; Autism 1-3 p.m.; and Stress 3-5 p.m.
The cost to attend all four sessions is $85. Those who are in need of continuing education units and who attend all sessions will receive eight continuing education units.
The class will be taught by Dr. Catherine Strecker.
