Ellinwood moves KDHE award presentation

The City of Ellinwood has moved the location of the presentation of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment award to the Ellinwood School Community Library. The city will receive the award for its efforts to "go green." The award will be given at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 29.

American Legion to host information evening

The American Legion Post 320 , 117 E. Santa Fe, of Ellinwood will host a meeting for all veterans and their families who wish to learn more about their VA benefits on Sept. 29 at 11:40 a.m.

The meeting is part of the Legion’s annual veteran’s Affairs Tour when state and district officers visit the posts.
