ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood District Hospital is replacing its boiler, and the work is nearly complete, according to Lloyd Kurtz who is on the board of directors.
The original boiler was installed in 1952 and quit working, so the work was required.
Kurtz said they anticipate the work will be done in the next few days. He does anticipate savings in utility bills.
EDH was notified earlier this week that they will receive a $237,000 low-interest federal rural development loan to replace the aging boiler system, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced.
