On Oct. 21, the Ellinwood Police Department, Kansas Highway Patrol and the Barton County Sheriffs Office will be conducting a drivers license/seatbelt check lane in the City of Ellinwood.

The check lane will start at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. and will be conducted in the 300 to 500 blocks of West Santa Fe Boulevard/US 56 Highway. So those who happen to come through the check lane should make sure they’re wearing their seatbelts and have their driver’s licenses available to show a law enforcement officer.
