Well Christmas has come and gone, and the New Year is almost upon us. As most people know, there will be New Years Eve parties for everyone to attend, and I hope those who choose to attend one of these parties has a very good time. I, and the rest of the Ellinwood Police Department, have only one request.

That those persons who choose to attend these parties not drink and drive. Please have a designated driver available or some other safe way of getting home. Local law enforcement will be out in force to deter drunk driving. Think about it — is it really worth taking the chance to drive drunk and loose your license for one evening of fun?
