ELLINWOOD — The criteria for being chosen for a Fullbright scholarship are a reflection of what was significant in Alan’s life. Alan was the son of Irlan and Virignia Fullbright.
The criteria are:
*First will be given to an Education major attending a Kansas college–
*Then to students who are going to attend either of Alan’s Alma Mater’s  Barton Community College or Fort Hays State University and who showed leadership in high school by holding an office in a school activity.   
The winners were:
•Kaitlyn Robl  - who is majoring in Early Childhood Education  and plans to begin her education at Barton Community College
•Rachel Morales- who will be attending Barton Community College and held several offices in FBLA, was the junior and senior class president.
•Tiara Espinosa – who is majoring in Music Education and plans to begin her education at Barton Community College.  She held the office of secretary in Student council and was the class treasurer for 3 years, and secretary for 1 year.
•Chelsey Churchill – who will be attending Barton Community College and held the office of secretary in FBLA.
