ELLINWOOD — A Great Bend man, Tyler Deforest, was injured in a truck wreck at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday at 400 SE 50 Rd.
He was west bound when he said that his power steering quit working and he was unable to steer the 2006 Dodge 2500 pickup.
Deforest entered the north ditch, hitting a tree. Complaining of neck and knee injury, the twenty-two-year-old man was taken by Ellinwood ambulance to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
His condition is stable at this time.
It is unknown whether he was wearing his seatbelt.
