HOISINGTON — HMS Volleyball got off to a great start on Tuesday when they traveled to Hays and faced Hays Kennedy, Dodge City Sacred Heart and Larned in a Quad on the campus of Hays High School. After too weeks of practice the Lady Cards came away with a slew of victories. The A team and B team both finished with 3-0 records accentuated by some fantastic serving. The C team fought hard and finished with a 1-2 record by defeating Larned and falling to Hays Kennedy and Dodge City. According to Coach Joe Cotten," The girls competed very well for the first matches of the year, but we have a lot to work on to get where we want to be by the end of the season. Our serving was really good but at all levels we were tentative on defense and let to many balls hit the floor unchallenged."
The HMS Cards will play at home the next 5 Thursdays before ending the season at Larned and then playing in the league Tourney in Ellinwood
