HOISINGTON —The Hoisington Chamber of Commerce has been organizing the region’s largest Labor Day Celebration for 117 years and is always looking for opportunities to enhance the event. This year, the committee is working with the City of Hoisington to introduce an event that is new to the region.
In 2013, Labor Day Weekend will feature the first Touch a Truck event in our event’s long history. Touch a Truck will provide an opportunity to take an up-close look at various types of vehicles and equipment.
This event will be will be free of charge to participants and should be publicized. A number of other communities have put on similar events that have attracted hundreds of participants and we expect our event to be no different. This is a great opportunity to broaden the horizons of young people throughout our region by allowing them to see and ask questions about various
types of equipment and vehicles that they see working in their communities on a regular basis.
This is a great opportunity to enhance Hoisington’s Labor Day Celebration while promoting your business or organization. The event could also encourage young people to consider various career opportunities.
