Hospital adds new PA

HOISINGTON —   Kristin Ohnmacht, certified physicians assistant ,joins Clara Barton Hospital’s physician team. Ohnmacht is a certified physician assistant.  
“Clara Barton Hospital welcomes Kristin, a certified physician assistant to their medical provider team. She will be joining the group of one  family practice physician, one  internal medicine physician and three  physician assistants at Clara Barton Medical Clinic and Russell Family Medical Care, ” said Curt Colson, president and CEO of Clara Barton Hospital. Beginning Nov. 26, Ohnmacht will be accepting new patients at Clara Barton Medical Clinic.  
She graduated from Great Bend High School in 2001 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Kansas State University in 2005.  She completed her Masters of Medical Science as a Physician Assistant from Saint Louis University in 2009.     
Ohnmacht began her professional career as a  Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) at Stafford County Hospital providing family and emergency medical care under Dr. Thomas Bauer’s supervision.  She later moved to Topeka where she served as a Surgical Physician Assistant at an orthopedic outpatient clinic at Stormont-Vail Healthcare.  
Ohnmacht brings a strong medical background and broad experience to Clara Barton with experience ranging from the treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions in both family medicine and emergency medical services to assisting in total hip and knee arthroplasties, percutaneous pinnings and other orthopedic services.      
“Clara Barton Hospital is excited to have Kristin Ohnmacht returning home to Barton County and looks forward to having her provide family and emergency medical care to our families, friends and patients of Clara Barton Hospital and Medical Clinic,” said Curt Colson.
