Mystic Blues to perform

ELLINWOOD —The Ellinwood High School Mystic Blues will present its annual “After Dinner Theater” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and at 3 p.m.Sunday, April 21  in the Ellinwood High School Auditorium. The Mystic Blues are a singing and dancing group. Members have to try out each year.
This year’s show is entitled “Can’t Stand the Heat” and includes songs like “Love Potion No. 9,” “Burnin’ Love,” and “The Heat is On.”
Dessert in the Commons area will follow the show.
Members of Mystic Blues are Connor Birzer, Steven Cortez, Kynlee Doll, Rachel Doll, Elizabeth Frakes, Keaton Goering, Shiani Hughes, Samuel Kline-Martin, Hannah Maddy, Avery Pike, Alex Robl, Rachel Schloctermeier, Ashley Sheldon, Wyatt Smith, Mary Beth Thill, Stephanie Troyer, and Slade Zamarripa.
Accompaniment will be provided by Ellinwood High School Principal Shawn Henderson on drums, Jeri Harder on piano, and Dan Duling on bass guitar. Set design, lights, and sound are provided by Leon Sobba. Students are under the direction of choir teacher Meredith Duling.
Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from the Ellinwood Public Library, Mystic Blues’ students, or at the door.
