HOISINGTON — A new restaurant, called Mi Tierra will open in Hoisington, 118 E. 1st. St. in the next couple of months offering Mexican food.

They have four restaurants currently. They are in Independence, Hutchinson, Lyons and Parsons.

Three to four people will be hired for front help, and the management team will move to town.

"It’s an exciting opportunity," said City Manager Jonathan Mitchell. "It provides alternatives for eating."

They group plans to remodel the building.

They will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends. The group is still deciding on whether to serve alcohol.
