Pool lights Party lights, music and stars? A new twist for the Ellinwood City pool this year as the dog days of summer went out with a splash. On Aug. 23 and 24, the party began for all ages. The first evening, the air was warm but breezy, making goose bumps appear as one left the water. The waters was 81 degrees making it most inviting to stay in. The second and last evening was a much warmer evening, no breeze, plenty of humidity with the surrounding sidewalks still holding the heat of the day. Approximately 170 natives checked in for a plunge on this eve and enjoyed the last swim of the year. - photo by TRACY K.
