JETMORE — A workshop on growing rural Kansas communities hosted by Basil Dannebohm, formerly of Ellinwood, will be held from 2-4 p.m. on July 25 at the King Center, 308 Main Street, Jetmore.
The conference will answer the following questions:
•How do you bring a community together?
• How do you get different groups on the same page for the common good of the rural Kansas?
• How do you make it fun to live in a rural Kansas community?
• How do you spur economic development on the plains?
• How can neighboring counties work together for the good of the region?
Roger Hrabe, Patsy Terrell, Simone Cahoj, Dr. Amber Campbell Hibbs and Von Rothenberger will serve as a panel during the question and answer portion of the workshop. Their diverse backgrounds make for the ideal blend of knowledge and collaborative discussion. Each individual has extensive knowledge of Kansas.
“We are pleased to have them joining us in Jetmore,” said Dannebohm.
After the workshop, attendees will have a wine social and networking opportunity in downtown Jetmore. The fee for this workshop is $10 to benefit the Hodgemen County Community Foundation.
