Student chosen for Kick-Off Kid

ELLINWOOD — Sunflower Bank recently gave one Ellinwood student the chance to watch his favorite team in style.

The bank chose Lane Klepper as the Kick-Off Kid for Kansas State’s Oct. 1 game against Baylor University, a thrilling game the Wildcats won 36-35. Klepper attended the game with his family, and two Sunflower Bank representatives also made the trek to Manhattan.

A program Sunflower Bank operates in conjunction with Kansas State and the University of Kansas, the Kick-Off Kid is in its third year of providing lasting memories for kids throughout Kansas..

Prior to each KU or K-State home game Sunflower Bank selects one student between grades K-8 to go on the sidelines for the kick. Plus, the Kick-Off Kid gets tickets for the whole family, a pregame meal and sideline tour, and watches the team burst from the tunnel before the game.

The student stays on the sidelines while the Cats or Hawks warm up, stands for the anthem, and through the kick-off. There’s nothing like going on the field for a big-time college game. Each Kick-Off Kid also is recognized on the Jumbotron.

In addition, Kick-Off Kids win four great seats to the game, and a full VIP gameday package! Also included:

• Sideline access for a K-State or KU kick-off!

• Four tickets to a home game

• Prize package of memorabilia

• VIP meal before the game

• Commemorative, framed photo

Sunflower Bank draws the winner each week prior to a KU or KSU home game. Enter now at 3600 1oth in Great Bend or 13 N. Main in Ellinwood. No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and one entry remains valid for the full 2011 season.
