Three vehicle wreck occurs in Ellinwood

ELLINWOOD — On June 5, at approximately 6:02 p.m., the Ellinwood Police Department responded to an accident involving three vehicles in the area of US 56 Highway, East Santa Fe Boulevard, and Bismark Avenue.
A white colored 2012 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Laverne Huslig of Ellinwood, Kansas appeared to have failed to yield from a stop sign while traveling northbound on Bismark Ave. and was struck by a red colored 2010 Ford Econoline van, which was eastbound on US 56 Highway, driven by Katelyn Brockman, of Manhattan, Kansas and an orange colored 2011 Ford U-Haul van, which was westbound on US 56 Highway, driven by Brandi Brunson of Hillsboro, Kansas. Minor injuries were reported, but parties refused treatment, according to the Ellinwood Police Department.
Huslig was arrested for Suspicion of Driving Under The Influence of Alcohol or Drugs or Both and was transported to the Barton County Jail, where he was booked and confined in lieu of bond.
