CLAFLIN — The Claflin Twisted Stitchers Quilt Club in Claflin has a display of members’ work at the Claflin Independent Township Library.

The group meets at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at Claflin High School. It costs $10 to join.

The group has "24 members ranging from 20s to upper 80s," said Pam Atteberry, past president. Members come from across Barton County.

"We have a program each month, or we might work on a project," said Atteberry. "Last month, we made glitzy T-shirts.

"We have a wonderful time," she said. In fact, the group went on a road trip together recently. "It’s a very casual group, flexible and fun. We do a lot of laughing."

The group is planning to do a raffle during a home basketball game to benefit Claflin High School. It will be a 70 x 86 quilt.

"It has a lot of different colors," she said.

For more information, call Atteberry at 587-3801.
