BUSHTON — Central Plains Middle School would like to honor Keeley Hipp and Buck Cummings as the March Students of the Month.
Keeley is an eighth grader at CPMS; she is the daughter of Mike and Patty Hipp. Keeley has two older sisters, Allie, a sophomore at Bethel College, and Katie, a senior at Central Plains High School.
Keeley has been involved in basketball, track, volleyball, band, vocal music, and Renaissance. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports and spending time with her friends. Her favorite subject in school is reading class. When asked what she likes best about school, Keeley replied, “I get to play sports!”
Keeley was nominated for Student of the Month because of the strong work ethic she displays. “Keeley consistently puts forth her best effort in the classroom. She is always very pleasant and respectful; I rarely see her without a smile on her face,” said assistant principal and teacher, Rhi Becker.
Buck is a seventh grade student at CPMS; he is the son of Niki Myers and Buck Cummings. He has two sisters, Katie and Rebecca. In his spare time, Buck enjoys collecting old baseball cards and watching NBA. His favorite subject in school is math. When asked what he likes best about school, Buck replied, “I like learning new things.”
Buck was nominated for Student of the Month because of his work ethic in class and his friendly attitude. “Buck works hard and is willing to help others. He is friendly to everyone,” said math teacher, Denise Dohrman.
