PAWNEE ROCK  — Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports some property stolen from an unoccupied home in Pawnee Rock and from a church there was recovered Wednesday evening.
Undersheriff Larry Holliday said Detective Sgt. Rick Popp and BCSO deputies talked to individuals at three Pawnee Rock households Wednesday evening after receiving information about allegedly stolen items. At two or three of the locations they received items reported stolen, including much of the property from a home at 417 Pawnee Ave.
Items from that address included a kitchen sink cabinet set with counter tops, living room carpet, light fixtures, a firebox and white screen door.
Officers also recovered an air conditioner reportedly stolen from a church at 620 Santa Fe St. in Pawnee Rock.
“At this time, no arrests have been made,” Holliday said. However, the investigation continues. Authorities are awaiting forensic laboratory results which could tie these crimes to other pending cases in Pawnee Rock.
