Bentley eligible for parole hearing

A man convicted of aggravated battery in Ellsworth County will be eligible for a parole hearing in April, for possible release on May 1. Curtis Lee Bentley, 53, is currently housed in the El Dorado Correctional Facility where his custody level is high-medium. He was incarcerated in 2008.
The Ellsworth County conviction is for a crime committed on March 22, 1991. He is also serving time for aggravated battery committed in 1978 in Douglas County, aggravated sodomy committed in 1981 in Reno County, and aggravated battery against a law enforcement officer, committed in 1981 in Leavenworth County.
The Prisoner Review Board will accept public comments March 19 at the Finney State Office Building in Wichita, March 21 at the Landon State Office Building in Topeka, and March 24 at City Hall in Kansas City. Written comments are also accepted.
