Bridge work
The Barton County Road and Bridge Department answered a call Thursday night about a whole in a bridge north of Olmitz. When crews arrived, they found a gaping sinkhole in the south approach to Bridge 340, located two and a half miles north of K-4 on NW 90 Avenue. According to department officials, the road will be closed for two weeks while repairs are made.
