This Thursday, the staff of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development will be making it easier than ever to take care of last-minute Christmas shopping by staying open until 7 p.m. to fill gift certificate orders.
“Chamber certificates ensure that gifted funds are spent locally at one of the over 140 businesses that currently participate in this unique program,” said chamber Marketing Coordinator Rachel Mawhirter. “From increased sales tax revenues that help maintain our roads and our education system, to the satisfaction of knowing you’re supporting your friends’ and neighbors’ businesses, shopping local is the way to go.”
Chamber gift certificates are available in any increment over $10 and don’t expire for five years. For multiple certificates, advance orders are accepted by phone, 620-792-2401, or by e-mail, gbcc@greatbend.org. Call or come by to order. The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce is located at 1125 Williams in Great Bend.
