A Russell man was injured Wednesday in a one-car accident on U.S. 281, half a mile south of NW 180 Road. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports that Nicholas T. Clenney, 24, was transported to the Russell hospital by the Hoisington Ambulance Service.
He was driving north in a 1984 Chevrolet Caprice at 7:10 p.m. and the car entered the ditch, traveling 111.3 feet and then hitting an embankment. He was wearing a seat belt.
The Russell County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
