EHS Forensics places at state

The Ellinwood High School Forensics Team competed at the KSHSAA 2A State Championships on Saturday, May 2 at Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita.  The team placed seventh out of 42 schools participating.
Two EHS competitors earned medals for placing in the top six in their respective events.  Shiani Hughes placed third in Serious Solo Acting, and Cassidy Schlessiger placed fifth in Informative Speaking.  Tamika Arndt, Mikey Hughes, and Hunter Pemberton advanced to the semi-final round.  
The students are coached by Vance Stegman and Angela Petersen.

LINDSBORG — Great Bend watercolorist and Barton Community College Coordinator of Workforce Training Events Krystall Barnes is a featured artist through October 21 at the Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery in Lindsborg. Her exhibition of original watercolor paintings is entitled “Emergence.”
