The Bridge contractor Bridges Inc. of Newton will begin bridge repairs to the Ellinwood bridge, located on SE 105th Ave. (south of Ellinwood) over the Arkansas River on Wednesday. The bridge will have a maximum width of 12 feet, be limited to one lane of traffic, and flaggers will control the traffic. The bridge will be open to two lane traffic at night.
The bridge repair will take approximately 7-8 weeks, weather permitting.
