Expo time
Great Bend City Attorney Bob Suelter unloads folding tables into the Great Bend Convention Center Monday afternoon. The extra tables were needed for the Great Bend Tribunes annual Womens Expo that takes place this afternoon and evening at the center, 3017 10th St. The 16th installment of the event runs from 3:30-7 p.m. Admission is free and tickets are available at the Tribune office, 2012 Forest, or at the door. The Tribune also so asks attendees to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Barton County Food Bank. There will be exhibits, demonstrations, as well as door prizes from the vendors. A new addition this year is the Grand Prize Drawing of a designer Coach handbag. The Grand Prize Drawing will be held at 6:45 p.m. and you must be in attendance to win that drawing. Another new addition this year is the GBHS Danceline who will have a booth selling home made goods, candy, soft drinks and water to raise money for their trip to a bowl game in January. They will also have face painting available
