Donations for the Great Bend Public Library October book sale will be accepted through Monday, Oct. 6. Donated books can be brought during library hours to the library’s service entrance off Stone Street or to the circulation desk.
Books for next year’s sale will not be accepted again until after Oct. 23. The Annual Book Sale will be open to Friends members on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18, and to the public Sunday through Tuesday, Oct. 19 through 21. The library is located at 1409 Williams St.
Friends member Carol Woodmansee said the book sale is only one of a number ways library patrons who wish to be a Friend of the Library can help support and promote the library in our community. The organization is always looking for new project ideas and opportunities, and for members with varying interests and abilities to help strengthen the library’s visibility in the community.
All members of the community are invited and welcome to participate in the sale either as members of Friends or as patrons of the library.
