Getting close to the goal The United Way of Central Kansas is pushing itself this year by reaching for a goal of $270,000 for the 2015 Campaign, said UWCK Executive Director Julie Bugner Smith. At this point, they are at 70 percent of this goal leaving about another $70,000 left to help support the 19 agencies helped by UWCK for the next year. Smith said UWCK representatives are out in the community making presentations for Employer Payroll Deductions to raise this final amount. Make sure to send in your end of the year pledges to the United Way to help us reach 100 percent of our goal for the fifth straight year, she said.
