The Golden Belt Community Foundation invites proposals for its next competitive grant cycle. Applications now are being accepted from qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and public institutions, including schools, clubs and civic/community organizations in Barton, Pawnee, Rush, and Stafford counties. Funds are available primarily for the health and well being of youth; however, limited funds are available in many other categories.
The application process is kept simple. Applicants fill out a one-page form and write a one-page (maximum) description of their project or idea. A committee comprised of board members and members of the community then review all applications. Grants are due postmarked on or before November 1 and will be awarded by the end of November. The average grant awarded is approximately $1,000.
The Golden Belt Community Foundation is a philanthropic organization established by and for the residents of Barton, Pawnee, Rush, and Stafford counties. A dedicated Board of Directors and Founding Donors truly believe that what we do today determines tomorrow. Our mission is to work, plan, and invest today for a more secure, improved, and better tomorrow.
At $6.1 million in total assets, the Golden Belt Community Foundation has awarded over $1.3 million to area organizations and projects since 2002.  It is through continued gifts from citizens, corporations, and communities that the funding available for granting will continue to grow.
Applications are available by clicking the Grants and Scholarships link on the foundation’s website at www.goldenbeltcf.org. You may also contact the GBCF office at (620) 792-3000.
