The Great Bend Fraternal Order of Police headed to Town & Country Super Market in Hoisington on Saturday to pick up 40 bags of groceries to provide Easter baskets for families in need. Detective Terry Millard said FOP members conducted a fundraiser earlier this spring and people from all over the county donated.

The Catholic Social Service office provided some names, and police officers came up with more names of people who could use some help. Millard said food was being delivered to someone in every city in Barton County.

They also made a delivery said to the office of the Family Crisis Center in Great Bend. Laura Patzner, director of the Crisis Center, said that food will go to their clients.
