Kansas Poet Laureate Wyatt Townley wants to bring poetry home to Kansans, and in that vein, is beginning a weekly poetry column that will be published in the Great Bend Tribune.
Home will be the theme and she will accept poems called the American Cinquain. A cinquain is five lines long.
The first line has two syllables, the second four, the third six, the fourth eight, and the last line drops back to two.
