LARNED — The investigation of the death, early Saturday morning, of a 25-year-old Larned man is continuing, Larned Police Chief Charles Orth told The Tribune Monday. Matthew Aaron Dell fell to his death from the top of a grain bin in the 400 block of Toles Avenue, according to reports. The incident occurred sometime around 3:15 a.m. and Dell was pronounced dead at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned, about 45 minutes later.

Larned police officers had found the man had fallen about 40 feet. He was in critical condition when they got to the scene. Dell was transported by Larned Emergency Medical Services to the hospital. He died at about 4 a.m.

Orth said an autopsy was planned and that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the fatality.
