Lighting the way
Great Bend Parks Department employee Jason Linsner strings Christmas lights in a tree on the Barton County Courthouse Square Wednesday morning. City crews have already installed holiday decorations on light poles and will spend the next day or two putting up thousands of miniature lights and other lighted displays. After that, they will make sure all the exhibits have electricity as they prepare for the opening of the Trail of Lights Nov. 24.
