A drug raid by Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputies Tuesday night in Great Bend yielded one arrest, Sheriff Brian Bellendir said.
At 8:45 p.m., the officers executed a search warrant at 1014 ½ Stone Street. Apprehended at the scene was Shawn A. Satterfield, 36, of Great Bend. Satterfield was transported and booked at the Barton County Jail for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, no drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $100,000.
Bellendir said sheriff’s office detectives had developed information that indicated the occupant of that residence was in possession of controlled substances. Upon arrival, deputies gained entry to the residence without resistance and took the him into custody.
A search of the residence yielded a substantial amount of methamphetamine and marijuana. Drug paraphernalia was also found at the home.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Kansas Department of Revenue. This investigation remains open and further leads or suspects will be pursued.
