Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple (Female Version), produced by Great Bend High School Theatre Department, opens March 1, and runs through March 3.
Anyone who has ever had a roommate can relate to the conflict that forms the basis of Neil Simon’s female version. Living with someone - whether best friend or total stranger - will produce stress in even the closest of relationships. The minor tensions and major flare-ups between Olive Madison and Florence Unger run the gamut of what can go wrong when two people share the same space.
Holly Johnson went to school at GBHS in 2001-2005.  In her junior year, she was Mickey in the first production of “The Odd Couple (Female Version)”.  Now, she is helping direct the play she has been in before at this very high school.  Later, she went on to play Olive in the same production out at Barton County Community College.
