ELLINWOOD — Nothing says school’s out like field day. Ellinwood Grade School students participated in several events at the Ellinwood City Park Wednesday morning.
Kindergarteners, first and second grade students had the field in the morning, with third through sixth grade expected in the afternoon, provided the rain kept away. Field day was originally scheduled for May 6, but was postponed due to rain.
Today is the last day of school for Ellinwood USD 355 students, who will have an early release at 11:30 a.m. This afternoon, Ellinwood will host the CPL High School League track meet at the Ellinwood track stadium. Field events will begin at 3 p.m., and running events will begin at 5 p.m.
Hoisington schools will also release at 11:20 a.m. today. Great Bend USD 428 students will still have one more week of classes to attend.
