The Barton County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a “person of interest” in last Saturday’s shooting death of Damon Galyardt.
In a statement released by the BCSO Wednesday afternoon, authorities announced that a third search warrant was executed at a Great Bend residence on Tuesday, and a suspect was arrested “as a result of that warrant.” However, the individual was not named and is being held in the Barton County Jail on unrelated charges.
Galyardt’s body was discovered Saturday morning by hunters on land southwest of Great Bend. Two search warrants were executed that day and a vehicle was seized for forensic testing.
