Law enforcement officers have seized a second "vehicle of interest" as they investigate the shooting death of Damon Galyardt. The 25-year-old Great Bend man’s body was found in a field southwest of Great Bend last Saturday morning by hunters.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office, Great Bend Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are continuing to follow leads in connection with their joint investigation. BCSO reported they are conducting interviews as information is gathered.

Two search warrants were issued Saturday evening, when officers searched a Great Bend residence and seized the first vehicle of interest for forensic testing. Another Great Bend residence was searched Tuesday, and the sheriff’s office announced that as a result of that warrant, a person of interest had been arrested and was being held, but on unrelated charges.
